Her maternal grandparents were James Foster and Mary Baxley. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Zachary L., Henry Joe, Thomas Edward, Charles Baxter, Alexander Franklin, Alex S, Isaac Ray, Robert Lee, Fallie Bell, Lola Odell, Lillie Mae, Bertha Lee, Zona Mertia and Mertie I. She was the youngest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 95 on March 30th, 2008 in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina.2 -
