William Marion Long 
William Marion was born on October 14th, 1931 in Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC. William Marion's father was Oscar Robertus Long and his mother was Daisy Ella Carpenter. His maternal grandparents were Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. He had five brothers and a sister, named Edward Carpenter, Marcus Troy, Oscar Robertus, Benjamin Hoke, Perry Anderson and Irene Hoke. He died at the age of 14 on November 30th, 1945 in Carvers Creek, Bladen Co, NC. He was buried on December 2nd, 1945 in Mount Horeb Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Council, Bladen Co, NC.General Notes
