Mary Kempe 
Mary was born in 1531 in Ollantigh, Par, Wye, Kent, England.1 Mary's father was Sir William Kempe and her mother was Eleanor Browne. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Kempe and Emeline Chiche; her maternal grandparents were Sir Robert Browne and Mary Malet. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Anthony, Edward, Francis, Margaret, Emeline, Cecilia and Faith. She was the third youngest of the ten children.-
