Sir William Kempe 
William was born in 1487 in Wye, Kent, England.1 William's father was Thomas Kempe and his mother was Emeline Chiche. His paternal grandparents were William Kempe and Alice Scott; his maternal grandparents were Valentine Chiche and Phillipa Chichley. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, Andrew, Richard, Christopher and Cecelia. He was the oldest of the six children.-
