John Franklin Goforth 
John Franklin was born on January 16th, 1843 in Cleveland Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1900. John Franklin's father was George Goforth and his mother was Nancy Jane Houser. His maternal grandparents were Henry Houser and Faithy Jones. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry Wright, Robert B. 'Rainer', James Marion, Preston S., Amanda Harriet Elizabeth, Nancy Jane and Ellen S.. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 on April 10th, 1902 in Hardeman Co, TN. He was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Pocahontas, Coffee Co, TN.General Notes
