Ufa Imogene was born on September 28th, 1893 in , Wayne County, Iowa, USA.1 Ufa Imogene's father was William Preston Garton and her mother was Maude Alice Caldwell. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Garton and Mary Susan Shipley. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Charles Lee, Louis Lyle, Lloyd Orville, Claire Allen, Mardis Woodrow, James Richard, Fern Elizabeth, Annetta Mary, LaRue Ellen, Doris Dean and Alice Adelle. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 88 on November 27th, 1981.1 -
