Nancy Ann Despain 
Nancy was born on September 11th, 1835 in Wards, Green Co., Kentucky.1 Nancy's father was John B. Despain and her mother was Malinda A. Bazor. Her paternal grandparents were James Scott DeSpain and Susan (Sally) Peterson; her maternal grandparents were John Bazor and Mary. She had eight brothers and seven sisters, named James, Joseph, John, Henry, Hutty, Fielding, Lewis, Edward, Sary, Mary, Polly, Sally, Rebecca, Araminta and Patsy.
