His paternal grandparents were Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire Louis (The German) Roman II and Luitgarde of Saxony; his maternal grandparents were King Edward (The Elder) of England I and Queen of England Aelflaeda of Ethelhelm. He had a brother named d'Outremer, Transmarinus. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Etienne, Gisele, Alpais, Ermentrude, Ermentrude and Agnaes. He died at the age of 68 on May 21st, 0993 in Courcy, Ardennes, Champagne, France.1 -
