Janet Beaton 
Janet was born about 1522 in Creich Castle, Fifeshire, Scotland. Janet's father was John Beaton and her mother was Janet De La Haye. Her paternal grandparents were Sir David Bethune and Janet Duddingston. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert, John, Archibald, Gavin, David, Elizabeth, Christian and Grizel. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
