Elizabeth Beaton 
Elizabeth was born about 1518 in Creich Castle, Fifeshire, Scotland. Elizabeth's father was John Beaton and her mother was Janet De La Haye. Her paternal grandparents were Sir David Bethune and Janet Duddingston. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert, John, Archibald, Gavin, David, Christian, Janet and Grizel. She was the second oldest of the nine children.-
