William Burwell ("Bill" "Will" Ashwell) Ashwell 
William Burwell, known as "Bill" "Will" Ashwell, was born on June 17th, 1827 in Bedford Co, Va. "Bill" "Will" Ashwell's father was James "Meredith" ("Meredith") Ashwell and his mother was Sarah "Sally" Jane Ellis. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. He had three brothers and six sisters, named "Ben" Ashwell, "Ben" Ashwell, Carey Austin, Tellitha Emmaline, Sarah Jane, Juliann Matilda, Mary Elizabeth, Nancy Adeline and Susan Frances. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 80 on September 3rd, 1907 in Advance, Boone Co, Indiana. He was buried in Advance, Boone Co, Indiana.General Notes
