Her paternal grandparents were James Jefferson (Jim) Allen and Martha Christina (Mattie) Akin. She had a brother and five sisters, named William Arthur, Frankie Esther, Granny Clark, Nelia May, Jane and Tommie Lynn. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 84 on February 8th, 1982 in Hooks, Bowie Co, Texas, USA.-
