Dorothy Nell was born on March 12th, 1921 in Bowie Co, Texas, USA. Dorothy Nell's father was Ross Erath Akin and her mother was Sarah Rebecca Shipp. Her paternal grandparents were George W Akin and Sarah St John. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James Lawson, Ross Erath, Herman Pershing, Beedie Ray, Opal Cleo, Mary Coletta and Sarah Rebecca. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 61 on July 2nd, 1982 in Springdale, Hamilton Co, Texas, USA.-
