Mary Elizabeth was born on February 26th, 1850 in Bedford Co., Tennessee. Mary Elizabeth's father was James H. Moss CSA and her mother was Sarah H. Fisher. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Moss and Elizabeth Smith. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas James Fletcher, Newton Foote Neale, Samuel Martin, William T., John H. W., Margaret Elizabeth, Emily Jane, Parmelia Ann, Hettie Frances, Sarah Catherine, Ellen Tennessee and Nancy M.. She died at the age of 60 on February 20th, 1911 in Hickman Co., Tennessee. She was buried in Mayberry Cemetery, (Hickman Co.), Tennessee.-
