Lanslow's father was Richard (nmi) Mathias and his mother was Susan Cooper.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Mathias and Catherine Fuller. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jackson, Joseph G., Augustus L., William Eugene, Scott Plesant, Alabama and Texas Luciretta. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard, Jr. and Eliza.  He was buried in Stewart Co., Georgia.¹
