Sallie Texana Welty

Sallie Texana was born on May 8th, 1879.¹   Sallie Texana's father was Joseph S Welty and her mother was Martha Elizabeth Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were John C Welty and Elizabeth Hauff. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Billie, Willie, Charles Franklin, John Wesley, Margaret S, Anna E, Mary Jane, Gipsey Unora and Fannie M.  She was the third youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Samuel A, Sarah E and Martha J.¹
