Sylvester Butler Welch 
Sylvester Butler was born on April 4th, 1842.1 Sylvester Butler's father was William Rowland Welch and his mother was Lavinia Butler. His paternal grandparents were Osias Welch and Elizabeth Rowland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Azro Butler, Kincheon Hay, Amanda J. and Mary Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the five children.1 -
