George was born in 1475 in Smallbridge, Essex, England.1   George's father was William Walgrave and his mother was Margery Wentworth. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Walgrave, William, Edmond, Mary, Margaret, Jane, Briget, Anne and Dorothy.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 53 on July 8th, 1528.1
