Dorothy was born about 1504 in Smallbridge, Lancashire, England.1   Dorothy's father was William Walgrave and her mother was Margery Wentworth. She had four brothers and five sisters, named George, Walgrave, William, Edmond, Mary, Margaret, Jane, Briget and Anne.  She was the youngest of the ten children.1
