Phoebie was born on August 5th, 1858.1 Phoebie's father was Thomas Christian Vought and her mother was Lucy Gardner. Her paternal grandparents were Achitias Vought and Jane Oakley. She had ten brothers and four sisters, named David, James, Charles, Gardner, Thomas, George, Nehemiah, Daniel, Miron, Harrison, Zibbie, Jewel Oakley, Clara and Leslie. She had a half-sister named Lettie.1 -
