Clara was born on January 2nd, 1855.1 Clara's father was Thomas Christian Vought and her mother was Lucy Gardner. Her paternal grandparents were Achitias Vought and Jane Oakley. She had ten brothers and four sisters, named David, James, Charles, Gardner, Thomas, George, Nehemiah, Daniel, Miron, Harrison, Zibbie, Jewel Oakley, Phoebie and Leslie. She had a half-sister named Lettie.1 -
