Emma Jane was born on April 15th, 1848 in Williamsburg, Covington, Co..1 Emma Jane's father was Joseph Turnbow and her mother was Rebecca Cole George. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Turnbow and Margaret Tallkitten (Talk. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Pleasant Childers, Nathaniel Nephi, George Washington, John Lexington, Henry Jefferson, Samuel Joseph, Stephen Monroe, Susan Margarete, Martha Ann and Nancy Kezia. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 67 on June 23rd, 1915 in Antonito, Conejos, CO. She was buried in Sanford, Conejos, CO.1 1 -
