Louisa Martha was born in 1844 in TN.1   Louisa Martha's father was James P. Todd and her mother was Mary Jane Dunaway.  Her paternal grandparents were William Todd and Jane Douglas. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named James P., John E. W., Jefferson Bradford, Cynthia F., Saline, Rebecca Elizabeth, Mary Caroline, Sarah J., Amanda Catherine, Melissa Palestine and Sarah Malissa.  She was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.1
