Eli Thomas 
Eli was born in 1840 in Owsley, Kentucky.1 Eli's father was Joseph Thomas and his mother was Anna Jemina Couch. His paternal grandparents were Marchant Thomas and Jemima Hamilton. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named William, Elisha, Levi, James B, Jane, Polly Mary, Jemina, Elizabeth, Catherin, Rebecca, Margaret and Rhoda. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children.1 -
