Learned Bush Rich 
Learned Bush was born on March 31st, 1822 in Fort Ticonderoga, Essex, NY.1 Learned Bush's father was Learned Rich and his mother was Amanda Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Rich and Phebe Putnam. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Erasmus Darwin, Zina Pitcher, Unknown, Smith Weed, Arthur Draper, Cornelis, Erasmus Darwin, Adeline, Unknown, Ann Amanda and Roana. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 71 in September 1893 in Winthrop, Buchanan, IA.1 General Notes
