Rachel Reed 
Rachel was born in 1865 in Scott, Tennessee.1 Rachel's father was Sampson Reed and her mother was Eliza Jane Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Reed and Phariba [Rachel] Hatfield. She had a brother and two sisters, named James, Katherine and Clementine. She was the oldest of the four children. She had nine half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Isaac, Miles, Campbell, Firman, Andrew, Oma, Balaam, Redman, Rebecca, Emily and Starling.1 -
