James Reed 
James was born in 1851 in Tennessee.1 James' father was Sampson Reed and his mother was Sarah McDonald. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Reed and Phariba [Rachel] Hatfield. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, Miles, Campbell, Rebecca, Emily and Starling. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Firman, Andrew, Oma, Balaam, Redman, Rachel, Katherine and Clementine.1 -
