Balaam Reed 
Balaam was born in 1880 in Scott, Tennessee.1 Balaam's father was Sampson Reed and his mother was Sarah Phillips. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Reed and Phariba [Rachel] Hatfield. He had four brothers named Firman, Andrew, Oma and Redman. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named James, Isaac, Miles, Campbell, James, Rebecca, Emily, Starling, Rachel, Katherine and Clementine. He died at the age of 60 in 1940 in Tennessee.1 -
