Her paternal grandfather was Johan Gottfried Ploger; her maternal grandparents were Georg Carl Fredrick Brandt and Dorothea Sophie Grambow. She had a brother and five sisters, named August, Maria Fredericke, Fredericke Wilhelmine Ernestine, Hannah, Augusta and Antonio. She was the oldest of the seven children.1 -
