Francis was born on October 15th, 1835 in Fairfield Twp., Highland Co., OH.1 Francis' father was Thomas Asbury Pavey and his mother was Sarah Lambert Johnson. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Pavey and Elizabeth Acman; his maternal grandparents were William Johnson and Jane Biggs Dowden. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Asbury, John Wesley, William Johnson, Isaac Samuel, Thomas Asbury, Ashford Curry, Eli Martin, Elizabeth Jane, Sarah Ann, Rachel H., Mary Sophia and Becky Jane.1 -
