Mary Owen

Mary was born on June 26th, 1811 in Bethel, Windsor County, VT.¹ Mary's father was Andrew Owen and her mother was Sarah Walden Newman. Her paternal grandparents were Sylvanus (Silvanus) Owen and Eunice Roberts. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Silas Whitman, David, Hiram, Susan, Eunice, Lucy, Amanda, Betsy and Alice. She was the third youngest of the ten children.¹
