Johanna (Hannah) Helen was born on October 17th, 1876 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota.1 Johanna (Hannah) Helen's father was Nels Peter Nelson and her mother was Karoline Mortensen. Her maternal grandparents were Morten Olsen and Anna Marie Madsdatter. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Charles Andrew, Martin Lester, Julius, Mary, Anna Mary, Alice Mary, Carrie Elizabeth, Olena (Lena) Sophia, Lyda Esther and Clara. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 86 on July 4th, 1963 in Milton, Wisconsin.1 -
