Russell William was born on February 12th, 1915 in Kinderhook, Pike County, Illinois. Russell William's father was John William Martin and his mother was Edith Laverta Brown. His paternal grandparents were Alvin S. Martin and Sarah Hill. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert Kenneth, Herbert Raymond, Alvin Wesley, Billy Lee, Living, Living, Mildred Irene and Iva Mae. He died at the age of 81 on March 2nd, 1996 in Tyler, Smith County, Texas. He was buried on March 4th, 1996 in Damascus Cemetery, Lindale, Texas.-
