John William Martin 
John William was born on February 10th, 1886 in Colchester, McDonough County, Illinois. John William's father was Alvin S. Martin and his mother was Sarah Hill. His paternal grandparents were Sedate Paddle Martin and Almira Nash; his maternal grandparents were William Hill and Rachel Unknown. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edison A., Alvin S., Homer Henry, Viola E., Francis Adeline, Etta D. and Eva H.. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 65 on June 24th, 1951 in Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas. He was buried in Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas.-
