Stephen was born in 1845.1   Stephen's father was Jimmerson "Jimpse" Kennedy and his mother was Nicey Collins.  His paternal grandparents were Stephen Kennedy and Mary Holland. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Josiah, Eli, William, Michael, John, Ann Jane and America.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named Seaborn B., Perry, Lee, Wright, Edward Hartridge, Tillman and Sarah.  He died  due to CIVIL WAR in CIVIL WAR.1
