David Newton Hunt 
David Newton was born on May 1st, 1842 in Monroe, Tennessee.1 David Newton's father was George Washington [Washie] Hunt and his mother was Mary Carolyn [Polly] Wilson. His paternal grandparents were William Lewis Hunt and Margaret Finley. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Howard Finley, Thomas Jefferson, Jack, Taylor Huston, Andrew Jackson, William Benjamin, Samuel Buchannan, Malinda Jane, Margaret Elizabeth and Mary Irene. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 66 in August 1908.1 -
