Walter Holcombe 
Walter was born in 1550 in Banscombe.1 Walter's father was Ellis Holcombe and his mother was Elizabeth Sydenham. His paternal grandparents were Charles Holcombe and Jane Holcombe; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Sydenham. He had six brothers and a sister, named Tristram, Nicholas, Thomas, Robert, John, George and Jane. He was the second youngest of the eight children.1 -
