John Harper

John was born about 1831 in Vermont.¹   John's father was Hugh Harper and his mother was Frances (Fanny) Manney. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Royal H., Samuel F., George W., Lucy (Eliza) and Rebecca.  He was the oldest of the seven children.¹
