John Edgar Gilchrist

John Edgar was born on November 12th, 1870.¹ John Edgar's father was Angus Gilchrist and his mother was Laura Virginia Graham. His paternal grandparents were John Jacob Rhodes Gilchrist and Effie Fairly; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Graham and Eilzabeth Purcell. He had a brother and three sisters, named Infant, Elizabeth Irene, Effie Flora and Annie Laura. He was the oldest of the five children.¹
