Mary was born in 1712 in Ireland.1   Mary's father was William Gaston and her mother was Olivet Lemon. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Hugh, Justice John, Robert, William, Alexander, Elizabeth, Jennett and Martha.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 90 in 1802 in Chester Co, South Carolina.1
