Frederick Artemas Fountain

Frederick Artemas was born on February 28th, 1892 in Onslow Co., N. C..¹ Frederick Artemas' father was Nick Fountain and his mother was Nancy Catherine Horne. His paternal grandparents were John R. Fountain and Molsey A. Brown; his maternal grandparents were John Alfred Horne and Mary Jane Barber. He had eight brothers named Infant, John Alfred, Joseph Pender, Furney Ruffin, Robert Roy, Jere Wilson, Alvin Marcus and Clarence James. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on March 21st, 1971 in Onslow Co., N. C..¹
