William Downing Evans 
William Downing was born on October 23rd, 1880 in Screven Co., GA.1 William Downing's father was William Ellison Evans and his mother was Sophronia Cail. His paternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas; his maternal grandparents were Bud G. Cail and Lavenia Jane Howard. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Mason, David Ellison, James Garnett, Willie Wood, Harry Cail, Herschel J., Louise, Mary Florrie, Mattye Bell and Hattie Jane. He died at the age of 80 on February 25th, 1961 in Screven Co., GA.1 General Notes
