Cornelius DeWitt 
Cornelius was born on December 14th, 1904 in Zeeland, Michigan.1 Cornelius' father was Peter DeWitt and his mother was Mary Roels. His maternal grandparents were Pieter Roels and Adriana Brandt. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Gerrit, John, Arthur, Jennie and Nellie. He died at the age of 39 on August 24th, 1944 in Zeeland, Michigan.1 General Notes

In the Dutch language, Cornelius and Katherine are one and the same name. (Cornelius) Neil DeWitt was names after Kate Roels and was therefore her favorite.
