Samuel Benedict

Samuel was born in 1834 in Shannonville, Thousand Island, Canada.¹   Samuel's father was William L. M. Benedict and his mother was Adelia Ann Benedict. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William L. M., Rheuben James, Alonzo, Orville Oscar, Edgar Stacy, Adelia Ann, Caroline Rebecca, Mary Jane, Rachel E. and Martha.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 43 on June 14th, 1877 in White Bird, Idaho, Nez Perce Indian War.¹
