Adelia Ann was born in 1839.1   Adelia Ann's father was William L. M. Benedict and her mother was Adelia Ann Benedict. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William L. M., Samuel, Rheuben James, Alonzo, Orville Oscar, Edgar Stacy, Caroline Rebecca, Mary Jane, Rachel E. and Martha.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children.1
