John Bancroft 
John was born about 1623 in Swarkston, Derby, England.1 John's father was John Bancroft and his mother was Jane. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Bancroft and Rebecca Errington. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Samuel, William and Anna. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died on August 6th, 1662 in Windsor, Connecticut.2 General Notes
