John J Arnold 
John J was born on November 11th, 1853 in Danville, Knox, OH.1 John J's father was John Arnold and his mother was Christina Sapp. His paternal grandparents were Elias Arnold and Rachel Payne; his maternal grandparents were George Sapp and Margaret Logsdon. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Elias, Johannis, William Henry, George Salmon, Margaret, Julia Anna, Sarah, Mary Mathilda, Anna Nancy, Christina Anna and Johanna. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 58 on May 19th, 1912 in Cedarville, Allen, IN.1 General Notes

!Obiturary: After receiving several strokes of paralysis and being an
invalid for several years, Jonathan J. Arnold died at his home in
Cedarville last Sunday morning at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 8
days, being born in Knox Co., OH November 11, 1853.
!His parents moved to Noble Co., IN when he was but one year old and a few
years later moved to Allen Co. where he has since resided. In January 6,
1876 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary E. Widner and to this union
were born one son, Marion E., who survived. On August 10, 1888 he was
again united in marriage to Miss Mary L. Foust and to this union were
born eight children, seven of whom survive: Mrs. Rosa Wilks, John A.,
Mrs. Christena E. Miller, Arthur B., Richard R., George A., and Mary J.
The widow, besides a brother, George, of Auburn, and a sister, Mrs. Mary
Timmerman, also survive.
