Sally Hay was born on October 16th, 1812 in Elliott City, Howard, MD, USA.1 Sally Hay's father was Lund Washington and her mother was Susan Monroe Grayson. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Washington and Alice Strother; her maternal grandparents were Spence Grayson and Mary Elizabeth Wagoner. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Lund, Thomas, Peter Grayson, William Grayson, Benjamin Strother, Robert, Samuel Smith, Susan Jean, Mary Elizabeth, Sally Traverse and Mary Mason. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Peter George, Littleton Quinton and Mary Mason. She died at the age of 78 on July 15th, 1891 in Elliott City, Howard, MD, USA.1 -
