His paternal grandparents were Asa Sewell and Nancy Maria Mitchell; his maternal grandparents were James Riley Kitchens and Matilda A Hill. He had five brothers named Henry Jr, William, Asa, John and Robert. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 74 on October 14th, 1967 in Lewisville, Layafette Co., AR.
