His paternal grandparents were William Jackson Pinnegar and Nancy Elizabeth Ingram; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Sr. Orr and Elizabeth Bridges Stout. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Jackson, George W, Britton, Flavus Adolph, Charles Eli, Merilla Elizabeth, Didama Gerlean and Azlean. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 70 on December 18th, 1959 in Caldwell, Kentucky. He was buried in 1959 in Dickerson Cemetery, Lyon Co., KY.2 3 General Notes
